AARON BETANCOURT

EDINBURG- Aaron Betancourt, 52, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 14, 2023 in McAllen. Mr. Betancourt was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar West and Olivia Betancourt; brother, Denis Betancourt.

Aaron was a legend in his time. He was a true athletic star in all the sports he participated in with true Bobcat spirit. He left a happy and lasting impression on those who knew him.

Mr. Betancourt is survived by his two sons, Romeo Xavier Betancourt (son of Fatima Saldana) and Aaron Jamelle Betancourt( son of Roxanne  Cornelio), his two brothers, Jose Betancourt  (Idaho) and Refugio (Cuco) Rodriguez, two sisters,  Lillian Tamez (Robert) and Hilma  Betancourt; numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Legacy Chapel 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Inurnment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.

The family would like to thank all of you who have visited and sent prayers. We would especially like to thank his life long friend, Javier Porras. Thank you for always being there for him.
