Adela G. Montes

EDINBURG - Adela G. Montes, 100, went into rest on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Mrs.Montes was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Montes; her daughter, Maria Contreras; parents, Alfredo and Maria De Los Angeles Garcia.

Mrs. Montes is survived by her children, Gregorio (Maria D.) Montes, Maria G. Montes, Florentino (Rafaela) Montes, Santos (Elizabeth) Montes, Jose L. (Gabriela) Montes, Yolanda Montes, Roberto (Azeneth) Montes, and Maribel (Felipe) Hernandez; 26 grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. talk, Sunday January, 21, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a 12 noon dismissal on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
