ADELINA SALAZAR CANTU PENITAS - Adelina Salazar Cantu, 75, entered eternal rest Saturday, August 21, 2021, in McAllen. Mrs. Cantu was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Cantu; her father, Genaro Salazar; her sisters, Gloria Altgibers, and Maria Elena Escamilla. Mrs. Cantu is survived by her mother; Maria Coronado; her six children, Joel (Flor) Rodriguez, Diana V. (Howard) Vickery, Joselito Cantu, Maria Luisa (Omar) Vargas, Veronica (Claudia) Cantu, and Cynthia (Emilio) Gonzalez; 18 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; six siblings, Lito Salazar, Ruben Salazar, Javier Salazar, Norma Briones, Rosa Rivera, and Juanita Salazar; numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
