MCALLEN - Adolfo Guadalupe Almaraz Sr., 93, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in Edinburg. Mr. Almaraz was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Herlinda Almaraz.
Mr. Almaraz is survived by his wife, Natalia S. Almaraz; four children, Adolfo G. Almaraz Jr., Ileana Almaraz, Homer Almaraz, and Eddie (Melissa) Almaraz; five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Almaraz will always be remembered by his family as a hard-working, strict, yet loving father. Over the years, he juggled up to four jobs simultaneously to support his family. For thirty-three years, he dedicated himself to delivering newspapers for The Monitor from McAllen to Falcon Lake everyday. His playful sense of humor endeared him to many resulting in life-long friendships. Adolfo's absence will be deeply felt and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
