Albert F. Gonzalez

MCALLEN - Albert F. Gonzalez, 78, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 29, 2024 in Weatherford, Texas surrounded by his family and friends who loved him very much. Mr. Gonzalez lived in Weatherford for four years after relocating from his long-time home in Canoga Park, CA. Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his parents, Ezequiel F. Gonzalez and Consuelo Garcia Gonzalez; his grandparents, Federico Gonzalez and Liberata Gonzalez; his wife, Evelyn June Gonzalez; two step-children, Stephen Sanchez and Tina Sanchez; brother in law, Rodrigo Santa Ana; sister, Elva Boyd.

Mr. Gonzalez was born in McAllen, Tx where he graduated from McAllen High School in 1963 and moved to California where he attended Santa Monica College. Albert worked as a supervisor at the Radiology Department at UCLA hospital for numerous years. Following that, he worked as a construction foreman on various movie sets in the Los Angeles area and further pursued his interests with personal projects in construction and real estate in California and Texas.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his daughters, Kelly Marie Gonzalez and Sally Lindop; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 6 siblings, Cecilia Santa Ana, Sylvia (Billy) Garza, Robert (Marta Centeno) Gonzalez, Irma (Arturo) Cantu, Lydia (David) Arizmendi and Cynthia Gonzalez; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mr. Gonzalez was known for his zest for life, friendly nature, compassion for others by his family, friends, colleagues, and associates.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. 

Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
