Angelina M. Cantu

EDINBURG - Angelina M. Cantu, 93, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Friday April 18, 2025, at her residence in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Mrs. Cantu was preceded in death by her husband, Baldemar Cantu; her sons, Baldemar Cantu Jr., and Alfredo Cantu; her parents, Antonio and Donicia Martinez; her siblings, Olivia Guerra, Alicia Mendoza, Victoria Gomez, Hermelinda Nino, Elva Martinez, Oralia Martinez, Mauricio Martinez, and Rogelio Martinez. 

Mrs. Cantu is survived by her three children, Cynthia, Sylvia, and Timoteo Cantu; fifteen grandchildren, Daniel, Denise, Leo James, Brittany, Rodrigo, Paige, Baldemar Jr., Valdemar, Sandy, Alfredo Jr., Daniel, Jocelyn, Isabel, Brenda, and Angela; three siblings, Antonio, Roberto, and Santiago Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday April 24, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will be followed to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
