Angelita Gonzalez

EDINBURG - Angelita Gonzalez, 73, entered eternal rest Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Mrs. Gonzalez was born to Eliberto and Juanita Rodriquez. Angie went on to become a full-time homemaker and mother. As a successful mother she always cared for, protected, and loved her boys.

Mrs. Gonzalez was active in her local Adult Care Center for many years, she loved her bingo gatherings, and regularly volunteered to help local officials during voting periods. Her dry sense of humor was rarely appreciated due to her stern demeanor. She was a riot. Just don’t interrupt her novelas and you could not pull her away from a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by former spouse, Gilberto Gonzalez; 2 sons, Michael and Gilberto Jr. Gonzalez; her grandchildren, the twins, Anabella and Isabella, Robert Michael, and Michael Trace; numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg, TX. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a 10 a.m. chapel service, Monday, November 6, 2023 at Legacy Chapels.
