Antonio C. Martinez

San Juan- Antonio Campos Martinez, 94, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 7, 2025. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his parents, Cruz Martinez and Concepcion Campos; two siblings, Cruz and Goya.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will deeply be missed by his family and friends. He was born in Repueblo de Oriente, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Antonio worked hard in the farming community in Royal City, Washington for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, having barbecues, and listening to his family sing.

Era un devoto esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo. Su familia y amigos lo extrañarán profundamente. Nació en República de Oriente, Nuevo Leon Mexico, Antonio trabajó duro en la comunidad agrícola de la ciudad Royal., Washington durante muchos años. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia, hacer barbacoas y escuchar a su familia cantar.

Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Antonia Marichalar De Martinez; four children, Armando (Christy) Martinez, Adriana (Arnie) Garza, Antonio (Alma) Martinez, Cruz Martinez, and Arnoldo (RoseMarie) Martinez; fourteen grandchildren, Brandy, Erik, Melissa, Alysha, Nicholas, Hollie, Jamie, Antonio III, Cristobal, Monica, Carisa, Arnoldo, Selena, and Jaxon; twenty four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, July 14, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St.. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
