ANTONIO ESTEVAN GUZMAN EDINBURG- It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Antonio Estevan Guzman who entered eternal rest on Monday June 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 10, 1992. Estevan was a 2014 graduate of Johnny G. Economedes High School of Edinburg. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Rosalinda Guzman of Edinburg, Texas, Juan Antonio Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas, also his Best friend Tio Lupe Rivera of McAllen, Texas, and aunts, uncles and cousins. When Estevan was born his life expectancy was minimal, but through his mother's total commitment, hard work and whole hearted devotion to his care and well being at any cost, he was with us for over 22 years. He was the love of her life! The family is very thankful for the care and love shown by the staff of Edinburg Regional Hospital, McAllen Medical Center. Very special thanks to Alan Rivera from Rivera's Machinery Shop for making Estevan's ultimate dream come true in personally meeting Country & Western Singer George Strait on March 14, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. Our most sincere thanks to Tio Lupe, your undeniable commitment to the care and most of the all the true friendship that you shared with Estevan from the day he was born. Estevan will be deeply missed by all of those he touched. Estevan enjoyed playing on his computer and listening to Country Music, only two of the many wonderful attributes remembered by family and although he was here for a short time he never met a stranger and left an impact on everyone he met. Both in life and in his death he continues to give all of himself, his special gift to people he did not know, So others may live a fuller life. He was truly a kind, gentle and jovial soul. My Final Gift It is now time for me to move on Into the dusk, but also the dawn. I will remain as the morning comes As I've left behind a gift for someone. So another may walk, may talk, may see Where their life was locked, I offered a key. I am a donor to someone in need My final gift, my final deed… both in life and in death Estevan continues to teach us how to live. although his frail and weak body could no longer continue, we learned how strong of a person he truly had become. Our belief in what the Bible teaches us, ensures us that we will see him again. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm on Saturday June 6th 2015 at Legacy Chapel 4610 South Jackson Road, Edinburg, Texas.
