EDINBURG- Arnulfo Salinas Jr., 29, entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Edinburg.
Mr. Salinas is survived by his parents, Arnulfo Salinas, and Marta Neli Munoz; three siblings, Vianey Elizabeth Salinas, Angel Salinas, and Andres Salinas.
He will be remembered for his goofy sense of humor, kind heart, and the way he could make those around him laugh. He was intelligent, caring, and hardworking, with big dreams for his future. Those who knew him will remember his strength, his determination, and his unique personality that made him unforgettable.
His love for baseball extended far beyond the game itself. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the backyard with his younger brothers helping them practice and sharing his love of the game. He left behind not only memories of baseball but of a brother who always encouraged those around him.
He cared deeply for everyone around him including his parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles. His compassionate nature also extended to the many family dogs he lovingly helped care for over the years, always making sure they were fed, cared for, and never without affection. Every summer, he looked forward to the family’s annual camping trips to Garner State Park, where days were filled with laughter, swimming, hiking, late night conversations around the campfire, and making memories with the people he loved most. Those trips became some of his happiest memories and will forever be cherished by his family.
His warm heart and caring soul will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 9 a.m. July 31, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
