Arturo A. Ortiz, M.D.

MCALLEN – Arturo A. Ortiz, M.D., 74, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in McAllen, Texas.

Dr. Ortiz practiced family medicine in Mission, Texas, where he dedicated his career to caring for his patients and serving his community. He was a kind and generous man who cared deeply for others and was always willing to help those in need.

To his family and friends, Dr. Ortiz was much more than a physician. He was loving, loyal, and devoted to the people he cared about. He treasured time spent with those closest to him and will be remembered for his warmth, sense of humor, generosity, and the genuine love he showed to the people in his life. He leaves behind many cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
