EDINBURG - Aurelio G. Mendoza, de 85 años, partió para reunirse con nuestro Señor el sábado 29 de agosto de 2026 en Edinburg. Al Sr. Mendoza le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Irineo y Maria Mendoza; un hijo, Irineo Mendoza; y cuatro hermanos: Emilia (Perfecto) Moreno, Lino (Lidia) Mendoza, Mario (Adelia) Mendoza y Guadalupe (Tomas) Garza.

Al Sr. Mendoza le sobreviven su esposa durante 64 años, Olivia Mendoza; nueve hijos: Fortunato (Eva) Tenorio, Juanita (Moises) Victorino, Rogelio (Flor) Tenorio, Daniel (Patricia) Tenorio, Aurelia (Eleazar) Gutierrez, Silvia (Osbaldo) Garza, Rebecca (Keylon D.) McKee, Ruben Mendoza y Omar Mendoza; treinta y un nietos; veintisiete bisnietos; dos hermanos: Octavia (Nicola †) Piñon y Jose (Alicia) Mendoza; así como numerosos sobrinos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 2 de septiembre de 2026, de 5:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m., con un servicio de oración a las 7:00 p. m., en la Iglesia Cristiana Emmanuel, ubicada en 8115 E. Mile 17 1/2, Edinburg. El servicio en la capilla tendrá lugar el jueves 3 de septiembre de 2026 a las 10:00 a. m. en Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Road, Edinburg. Posteriormente, se realizará el sepelio en Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, en Pharr.

Los servicios funerarios están a cargo de Legacy Chapels en Edinburg.

Mr. Mendoza was preceded in death by his parents, Irineo & Maria Mendoza; one son, Irineo Mendoza; four siblings, Emilia (Perfecto) Moreno, Lino (Lidia) Mendoza, Mario (Adelia) Mendoza, and Guadalupe (Tomas) Garza.

Mr. Mendoza is survived by his spouse of 64 years, Olivia Mendoza; nine children, Fortunato (Eva) Tenorio, Juanita (Moises) Victorino, Rogelio (Flor) Tenorio, Daniel (Patricia) Tenorio, Aurelia (Eleazar) Gutierrez, Silvia (Osbaldo) Garza, Rebecca (Keylon D.) McKee, Ruben Mendozad, and Omar Mendoza; thirty-one grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; two siblings, Octavia (Nicola +) Piñon, and Jose (Alicia) Mendoza; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday September 2, 2026, at Igelsia Cristiana Emmanuel at 8115 E. Mile 17 1/2 in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
