MCALLEN - Carlos Vira, 64, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in . Mr. Vira was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Vira, and Dolores Escobedo.
Mr. Vira is survived by his spouse, Maria De Pilar Arreola; seven children, Jocelyn Arreola, Thelma Arreola, Vilma Arreola, Sandra Arreola, Rosa Arreola, Juan Arreola, and Fidencio Arreola; twenty grandchildren, two great grandchildren.; nine siblings, Ninfa Saenz, Isabel Barragan, Samuel Vira, Juan Vira, Jose Luis Vira, Amelia Gaytan, Ana Guevarra, Tomasa Alvavado, and Guadalupe Mendoza; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a 12:30 p.m. prayer service on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
