In Loving Memory of
Colin Richard Donald Feltis
May 15th, 2009 – October 21st, 2025
Forever Aged 16
Colin entered heaven after a tragic car accident on October 21st, 2025.
Although we longed for more than 16 years with Colin, we are forever blessed that God allowed us the gift of his life for those precious years. Many who knew Colin described him as having wisdom far beyond his age.
Anyone who spent time with Colin knew about his deep passion for video games. Some of his favorites were Kingdom Hearts, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, and Splatoon. He loved playing with his Uncle Kyle, friends, and Esports teammates. Colin especially enjoyed competing in local Smash Bros tournaments and had recently begun participating in Pokémon tournaments as well. He and his dad were building the perfect Pokémon gaming decks together, and Colin was eagerly teaching his dad the ins and outs of the game so they could compete side by side. His dad frequently lost during nightly play.
His sister, Delaney, wants everyone to remember her brother as Caring, Opinionated, Loving, Intelligent, and Nice—the perfect description of who Colin truly was.
Colin’s best friends, Aiden and Jeremy, share that they want him to be remembered as someone who taught others to be true to themselves and to always strive to grow in the things they love most.
We have received countless messages from parents sharing how Colin befriended their sons and daughters who had trouble making friends. As a former military family who moved every two years, Colin knew what it was like to be the new kid. He never wanted anyone to feel left out or alone, and he made it his mission to help others feel like they belonged.
Though his time with us was far too short, Colin made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His light will continue to shine brightly in our lives and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
If you went to school with Colin, you probably remember his tall frame—which made it nearly impossible for his mom to find pants that were long enough. Most days, he could be found wearing one of his favorite Cubavera tropical shirts, Perry Ellis undershirts, slightly-too-short Academy athletic pants (despite his mom’s best efforts to buy longer ones), and vintage Nike high tops. He also loved his gamer inspired hoodies.
At Colin’s viewing on Monday, we invite everyone to dress casually—just as Colin would have wanted. At his Celebration of Life on Tuesday, please wear your favorite Cubavera or Hawaiian style tropical shirt. If you were part of Colin’s Esports team at World Scholars, Science Academy, or any other school/team, please wear your Esports jersey in his honor.
Colin will never be forgotten. His memory will live on through his friends, family, and all who had the joy of knowing him. Sixteen years wasn’t enough—but no amount of time ever could be. We praise God that, because of His gift of salvation, we have the hope and assurance that this is not the end. One day, we will see our son again.
Colin is survived by his parents Troy and Kristy; his sister Delaney; grandparents Roxi, Tim and Sonya; Uncles Tim, Brian, Jacob, and Kyle; Aunts Crystal S., Crystal B., Erin, Lauren Ashley, and Brooklyn; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
