David Baldemar Gonzalez, Jr.

EDINBURG- A life well lived that touch so many will go on forever. David Baldemar Gonzalez, Jr., 70, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2026., surrounded by his loved ones at South Texas Regional Hospital in Edinburg. Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his parents, David Baldemar Gonzalez Sr., and Otila Gonzalez; his grandmother, Isabel Rocha; four siblings, Linda Otila Gonzalez, Daniel Casanova, Dario Vicente Gonzalez, and Elvira Villarreal.

 He was born October 13, 1955 in Edinburg, Texas, he was known for his unwavering heart, silly sense of humor and his endless love for his family. He had many talents in life, but his role as father to his children David (Sandra) Gonzalez, Dina (Joe Michael) Granados, and John (Sophia) Stanfield only prepared him for the role that drove him daily… As grandpa! His boys were his heartbeat David Houston, Jacoby Michael, Lincoln Elyss, Eric, Benjamin and Vincent. He had so much love for his nieces and nephews but took on a special role for Celia(Mariano) Ybarra, Erica (Cesar) Alvarez and Jessica (LP) Elizondo. The kind of man he was definitely will be remembered and his legacy will continue through his devoted wife of 46 years Rosalinda Gonzalez, his children, grandchildren, and those he loved as his own. David lived his life to the fullest, laughed often and loved always. May he rest in peace knowing how much he was loved and appreciated

Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
