HUMBLE - Dinorah Paula Flores Marroquín, 74, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in McAllen, Texas. She was born on May 27, 1952, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Dinorah passed with her daughter and loved ones by her side. She lived a life filled with devotion to her family, laughter, and kindness that touched all who knew her. There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they are gone, the light remains—and Dinorah was truly one of those people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arturo Flores and Herminia Marroquín, and her beloved siblings: Arturo Flores, José Juan Flores, Horacio Flores, Juan Manuel Flores, Raúl Flores, Herminia Flores, Irma Nela Flores, and Cynthia Flores.

Ms. Dinorah Flores is survived by her loving daughter, Karla J. (John Joseph) Hammond Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, Serena Hammond, Kenelope J. Hammond, Khaliana Jo Hammond, and Andres Cervantes; her siblings, Maria Del Carmen Flores, Alvaro Flores, Yadira Flores, and Yassmin Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Dinorah spent most of her life in the Rio Grande Valley before moving to Indiana with her daughter. Later, when she became a grandmother, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she devoted herself to helping raise her grandchildren alongside her daughter and son-in-law, John—embracing her role with boundless love and joy.

She was deeply loved by so many, and in return, she shared that love through her warm presence, her delicious cooking, and her wonderful sense of humor. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston, Texas.

Dinorah will be deeply missed, but her love, her laughter, and her light will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Dinorah partió en paz acompañada por su hija y sus seres queridos. Vivió una vida llena de amor y dedicación a su familia, alegría y bondad que tocó el corazón de todos los que la conocieron. Hay personas que traen una luz tan grande al mundo que, incluso después de que se han ido, esa luz permanece—y Dinorah fue verdaderamente una de esas personas.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. el jueves 18 de junio de 2026 en Legacy Chapels, ubicado en 4610 South Jackson Road en Edinburg. El servicio junto a la tumba se realizará a las 2:30 p.m. el viernes 19 de junio de 2026 en San Jacinto Memorial Park en Houston, Texas.
