Dulce Marie Irene Solis

Dulce Maria Irene Solis, 66, of McAllen, Texas, died on August 28, 2021, in Edinburg, Texas. At her request, she was cremated and a celebration of life was held with her immediate family in Colorado. She was born on October 20, 1954 in Mexico City, to Alberto and Maria Solis. Her father was a doctor and her mother was a nurse in the 1940's for the Red Cross. Her interests included traveling, gardening, painting, trying new cuisines, and reading. Over the last eighteen years, she devoted all of her time and energy to her unwavering commitment as an educator, and mentor within the community. Ms. Solis is survived by her loving daughter, Annie; son-in-law, Donald; her cousin, Gabriela; her niece Daniella, her nephew's Uriel and Alexander, and best friends, Juanita and Dona. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Alberto and Maria. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
