Eduardo Vela

MCALLEN- Eduardo Vela, 69, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 28, 2025, in McAllen. Mr. Vela was preceded in death by his parents, Anastacio Vela and Juanita Vela; two siblings, Dolores Madero and Anastacio Vela Jr.. 

Mr. Vela is survived by his beloved wife of forty nine years, Velma Vela; three children, Erica Renée Vela, Edy Rae (Nadeem) Abu-Hala, and Eduardo (Jazmin) Vela II.; five grandchildren, Marty Gutierrez, Andre Vela, Alexzander Jason Gutierrez, Uziyah Jalen Vela, and Lyla Raé Abu-Hala; four siblings, Robert (Socorro) Vela, Juanita (Baldemar) Garcia, Rosalba (George) Castillo, and Leticia Vela; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.  Funeral Mass will be at 10 a..m. on Thursday, December 4,2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 2201 Martin Ave, in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
