EDINBURG - Edward “Ed” Estrada, passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on February 23, 1967, in Ganado, Texas, Ed was known for his friendly demeanor, generous spirit, and kind heart. Edward Estrada was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur G. and Shirley Estrada; his sister, Naomi Estrada; and his brother-in-law, Joseph Guidry.

Ed grew up in the small town of Ganado, where he formed lifelong friendships and a deep connection to his hometown. After marrying Veronica Lopez, they welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world, Megan Eve and Miranda Claire. Ed loved his daughters. He was always present at school functions and cheering the loudest at sports events. He instilled in his girls the values of kindness and generosity, lessons that they will carry with them always.

Ed’s interests were as joyful and down-to-earth as he was. He was an avid moviegoer and was often accompanied by his family or close friends. Fishing was another of Ed's favorite pastimes, providing him with a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature. The golf course was his third sanctuary, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and the challenge of the game.

Those who knew Ed will remember his easy smile and the way he made each person feel like the most important person in the room. Friends and family often recounted how Ed's kindness made a significant impact on their lives, whether through his thoughtful advice or his willingness to lend a hand.

Edward is survived by his wife, Veronica López Estrada; two daughters, Megan Estrada and Miranda Estrada; three siblings, Arthur Estrada Jr., Robert (Frida) Estrada, and Nora Guidry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed’s absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Ed's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
