Eligio Lopez

Edinburg- Eligio Lopez, 78, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 28, 2024, in Edinburg surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his parents, Amalio Lopez and Santos Lopez Villarreal ; siblings Jose Alberto Lopez and Consuelo Martinez .

Mr. Lopez is survived by his wife of 53 years Guadalupe Lopez; four children, Ester (Augustine) Lara, Adriana Lopez, Eligio (Yvette) Lopez and Roberto (Berenice) Lopez; seven grandchildren; Vivian, Kristan, Corey, Isaac, Victoria, Vianca and Natalie; seven siblings, Leonel (Magdalena) Lopez, Ismael (Luisa) Lopez, Rene (Sonia) Lopez, Maria Concepcion (Antonio+) Carmona, Blanca Lopez, Dora Elia (Benito) Guerra and Maria (Ricardo) Luevano; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2024, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos.

Honorary Pallbearers: Eligio Lopez Jr., Roberto Lopez, Valentine Corey Gonzalez, Isaac Lopez, Augustine Lara, and Leonel Lopez.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
