Elizabeth (Betty) Christina Thompson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in Edinburg, TX, after an extended illness. She was born in Hampton, Va., on January 9, 1921, to lngebar and Hugh L. Boggs. Among her many business accomplishments, Elizabeth was a real estate broker in St. Petersburg, Fl, who was involved with the 1st beach condominium sales. Elizabeth also worked for GSA in Washington, D. C. as a land purchasing agent for the Dulles International Airport. In the mid 60's, Elizabeth began working for the FAA and then the Gorgas Hospital in the Panama Canal Zone and retired from there with 24 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and entertaining. At age 95, Elizabeth had been fortunate to have been married 3 times. Her husbands, Peter Pazin, Paul Edmunds, and James Thompson preceded her in death. She is survived by her 3 children, Peter Pazin and his wife Catherine of McAllen, TX, Deborah Joan Fields of Harvest, AL, and Margaret Bedford and her husband Herbert of Kissimmee, FL. She had 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church in San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or to the charity of your choice. The familywould like to acknowledge the wonderful care and compassion that was given to our loved one by The Bridges at Edinburg, an assisted living facility in Edinburg Texas. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
