MISSION - Ernestina Sanchez Mireles, 81, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Ernestina was preceded in death by her son, Ruben Reyna Jr.; her parents, Bonifacio Sanchez and Sixta Mireles; four siblings, Pedro Sanchez, Ernesto Sanchez, Maria Sanchez, and Arcadio Sanchez,

Ernestina is survived by her three children, Esmeralda Sánchez Diaz, Dalia R. Breon, and Sandra R. Rivera; nine grandchildren, David Lee Diaz Jr., Cameron Diaz, Leeana Diaz, Felicia Mann, Sontino Mann, Esai Reyna, Samantha Rodriguez, Victoria Rivera, and Abigail Reyna; three great-grandchildren, Meadow Diaz Montemayor, Addison Rodríguez, and Thiago Serna; three her siblings, Apolonio Sánchez, Raul Sánchez , and Héctor Sánchez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
