EVA VELA WESLACO - Eva Vela, 85, entered eternal rest Thursday, April 15, 2021, in Weslaco. Mrs. Vela was preceded in death by her husband, Arnoldo Vela; her daughter, Guadalupe Martinez; her parents, Silverio and Dorotea De La Peña. Mrs. Vela is survived by her two daughters, Consuelo Torres and Yolanda Garza; 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Bertha Jasso and Tomas Jasso; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Monday, April 19, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
