Evangelina Gutierrez

DONNA - Evangelina Gutierrez, 74, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Donna surrounded by her family. Mrs. Gutierrez was preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Gonzalez; her parents, Santiago and Maria Esther De Luna; her two siblings, Juan Manuel De Luna, and Ernestina Carbral. 

Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her three children, Alberto (Jessica) Gonzalez, Monica Gonzalez, and Maria (Eric) Cantu; twenty grandchildren, Daniela, Alberto III, Kassandra, Tobias, Cymber, Laken, Quinn, Briana, Lexandria, Andrea, Pablo III, Aiden, Kendra, Kassie, Ashton, Karlyssa, Aaliyah, Rolanda, and Justeen; eight siblings, Saul Garcia, Maria De Luna, Consolacion Garcia, Carlos De Luna, Rene De Luna, America De Luna, Marisela De Luna, and Santiago De Luna; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.  

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
