MCALLEN - Federico "Julian" Sustaita, 21, went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 2, 2026. Julian was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jose Moreno. At just 21 years old, Julian’s life was a gift that touched everyone who knew him. He found joy in the simple and meaningful things — long days fishing and hunting, laughter around the table with family, and the adventures he created while playing Dungeons & Dragons. He had a heart that loved deeply and a spirit that brought light into every room.
Though our hearts ache and his time with us feels far too short, we are grateful for every memory, every smile, and every moment shared. Julian’s love for his family was constant, and that love will remain with us forever. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in God’s presence — free from pain, held in perfect love. His story does not end here. Until the day we are reunited, we will carry him in our hearts and honor his life by cherishing one another the way he cherished us.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die.”
— John 11:25

Sustaita; two siblings, Sara Seline Sustaita, and Austin Xavier Sustaita; maternal grandmother, Esmeralda "Ruby" Moreno; paternal grandparents, Federico and Concepcion "Connie" Sustaita; two uncles, Jose Moreno, and JC (Brianette) Moreno; three aunts, Jessica (Alejandro) Castellanos, Cathy Acevedo, and Larissa (Mark) Reinitz; numerous cousins and friends.
