Gloria Lamb

EDINBURG - Gloria Lamb, 80, a devout soul and servant to her family and community, was called to her eternal rest on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Born on January 15, 1944, in the same city, Gloria's life was a testament to the virtues of humility, hard work, and unwavering faith. Mrs. Lamb is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Guadalupe and Victoria Martinez, in the Kingdom of Heaven.

After graduating from Edinburg High School Gloria decided to serve her country with honor in the Navy. Gloria continued her life's mission with the same dedication and respect for all of creation. She worked diligently as a Machinist at Pratt & Whitney before working her way up to a Senior Process Planner. After her career in machining Gloria decided to go to college at the same time her youngest son Brett attended college. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences at The University of Texas Pan America in Edinburg, TX. She then worked as Special Education Teacher, shaping young minds with patience and love.

Her personal sanctuary was found in the harmonies of rock and roll, where she celebrated the joy of life at concerts by the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Rod Stewart, and Elton John. Her pilgrimages to Graceland to honor her favorite artist, Elvis, were cherished moments of reflection and admiration.

Mrs. Lamb legacy is carried on by her sons, Richard (Eva) Lamb and Brett (Tanya) Lamb; her adored 4 grandchildren, Tara Lamb, Nina Lamb, Rodney Bond and Paige Bond; 3 siblings, Mary Cantu, Estella Castilleja, and Norma Adams; numerous family and friends.

In Gloria Lamb, we saw the embodiment of a life well-lived in the service of others and the Lord. Her gentle spirit and the echoes of her good deeds will resonate in the hearts of those she touched forevermore.
