Harry Eugene Simons, 76, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas, after a short battle with cancer. Harry had a very strong faith and loved the Lord. He is now healed and with his Lord and Savior.
Harry was born August 18, 1949 in Sacramento, California and was adopted at six weeks of age by Harry and Jane Simons. In June of 2024 he
and his half sister connected through a DNA match in Ancestry and Harry was able to learn about his biological family. Harry and his sister became
very close in the year and a half they knew one another.
Harry grew up in Oregon, where he discovered his lifelong passion for motorcycles. He began riding in his teens and cherished the thrill of the
open road throughout his life. Owning nearly 70 motorcycles, almost one for every year of his life, his adventurous spirit led him across the country
and shaped a life rich with stories and friendships. Harry and his wife, Rebecca, have spent the last eight years wintering in Southern Texas and
were known as “Winter Texans“.
Harry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rebecca Simons; his son Christopher Simons; grandsons Connor Simons, Brendan Simons, and step-grandson Patrick Luedtke; his step-son Sean Glaser; step-grandsons Ashton Glaser and Hunter Glaser; and four step great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his half-sister, Lynn Sheley; half-brothers, Richard Cabelera and Gary Cabelera; and numerous nieces and nephews from all
sides of the family. He leaves behind so many dear friends both in Arkansas and in Texas.
Harry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Harry and Jane Simons and his biological mother Lois Rae Hogan Cabelera.
His remains were cremated and his ashes will be released sometime in the future on the highways and byways from a motorcycle.
