Hector Cavazos Reyes

PHARR - Hector Cavazos Reyes, 83, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in McAllen. Mr Cavazos was preceded in death by his daughter, Mariza Cavazos; his parents, Guadalupe and Florinda Cavazos; two siblings, Hermilo and Elva Cavazos. 

Mr. Cavazos is survived by his wife, Aracely Garcia de Cavazos; three children, Aracely Cavazos, Hector Guadalupe (Lizeth) Cavazos, and Nydia Elizabeth Cavazos; thirteen grandchildren, Mariza, Karla, Paola, Jacky, Joshua, Abril, Hector Jr., Carlos, Keven, Jonathan, Justin, Giovani, and Gael.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Mother Cabrini Parish in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
