Hugo Edison Barra Soto

MCALLEN - Hugo Edison Barra Soto, 79, went to be with our Lord on Friday August 22, 2025, in McAllen surrounded by his family. Mr. Barra was preceded in death by his parents,  Hugo and Maria Barra; two siblings, Claudio and Walter Barra. 

Mr. Barra is survived by his wife, Nancy Sanchez de Barra; three children, Solange Natalia (Luis) Saldivia; Paola Jazmin (Jorge) Castillo, and Leticia Jondan (David) Pena; seven grandchildren, Priscila, Edison, Eliu, Sebastian, Ivan, Esteban, and Tess; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Franklin and Kenneth Barra; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a 5 p.m. Celebration of Life service Saturday August 30, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
