Jacob Roel Rodriguez

EDINBURG- Jacob Roel Rodriguez, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in McAllen. Mr. Rodriguez was preceded in death by his father, Michael Acosta Rodriguez.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his mother, Sonia Barron; two siblings, Michelle (Andrew Sanchez) Rodriguez and Marco Rodriguez; two nephews, Vicente James Sanchez and Xavier Ace Sanchez; one niece, Scarlett Emilia Sanchez.

Jacob Rodriguez, 25, left this world far too early, but not before filling it with more laughter, kindness, and love than many give in a lifetime. Jacob was an incredible son, a hilarious brother, a proud uncle, and a friend who could make even the hardest days feel lighter.

Jacob was a graduate of The University of the Incarnate Word. Jacob had a gift for making people feel cared for, and he put that gift to work every day as a nurse at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. He loved his job — truly loved it — and it showed in the way he spoke about his patients.

At home, Jacob was the heart of the family. His laugh was contagious, his stories were legendary everyone looked forward to his stories. Jacob’s hugs could fix just about anything. Jacob gave amazing hugs.

His spirit was playful, sweet, and full of life, and even though his time here was far too short, the memories he leaves behind will bring smiles for years to come.

He will be missed beyond measure and loved forever.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
