JORGE LUIS RODRIGUEZ MCALLEN - Jorge Luis Rodriguez, age 85, sleeps in death awaiting the resurrection (John 5:28,29) on September 10, 2016, in McAllen surrounded by his family. Born in Edinburg, he had lived in McAllen for the past 15 years. Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by a son Rolando Rodriguez; his parents, Andres and Lourdes Rodriguez; three brothers, Francisco, Jesus and Santos Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Maria L. Rodriguez; three children, Nora Gonzalez, Omar (Liana) Rodriguez and Joel (Sylvia) Rodriguez; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfonso Rodriguez; five sisters, Hermelinda Cantu, Severiana Balderas, Victoria Gonzalez, Cipriana Mares and Leonila Gaytan; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Bible discourse Monday, September 12, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
