Jose Luis Balderas

MCALLEN - Jose Luis Balderas, 79, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Pharr surrounded by his family. 

Mr. Balderas is survived by his wife, Maria Guerra de Balderas; four children, Jorge Luis (Araely) Balderas Guerra, Jose Javier (Norma) Balderas Guerra, Olga Lilia (Jose Raul) Balderas de Vivian; Jaime Alberto (Karla) Balderas Guerra; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; ten siblings, Sofia Balderas, Ramon Augirre, Irene O. Yepez, Gloria Balderas, Oscar Balderas, Jose Balderas, Yolanda Balderas, Delia Balderas, Leticia Balderas, and Marisela Balderas; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a chapel service at 4:30 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
