ALAMO - Jose Luis Barrera Jr., 41, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in Alamo surrounded by his family.
Jose is survived by his parent, Jose Luis and Yvette Barrera; five siblings, Claudia (Rene) Barrera, Norma Barrera, Adrian Barrera, Esteban (Jessica) Barrera, and Alejandro (Carmen) Barrera; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews. and friends; his favorite pet, Cookie.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
