MCALLEN- Jose Garcia Jr., 88, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in McAllen. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his spouse Concepcion Garcia Lopez; parents, Jose Garcia and Audelia Garza; three siblings, Amanda Romo Garcia, Pedro Garcia, and Horacio Garcia.

Mr. Garcia is survived by his; six children, Jaime (Sam) Garcia, Jose Adrian (Marissa) Garcia, Eduardo (Claudia) Garcia, Orlando Garcia,Sandra (Armando Jr.) Garcia Garza, and Ricardo Garcia; fourteen grandchildren, Justin James Garcia, Tyler James Garcia, Adrian (Roxanne) Garcia Jr., Karina (Tony) Garcia, Eric (Azzy) Garcia, Kaleb (Rocio) Garcia, Christina Lizett Garcia, Christian Eduardo (Suly) Garcia, Erika Lynn Garcia, Amanda Lee Garcia, Cassandra Marie (Hector) Gomez, Renne Nicole Gomez, Stephanie Lynn (Daniella) Gomez, and Brianna Lee (Michael) Garza; fourteen great grandchildren, Adrian Garcia III, Emery Garcia, Elijah Garcia, Noah Garcia, Oliver Garcia, Eric Liam Garcia, Sophia Vidal, Ariella Garcia, Alejandro Reyes, Imelda Reyes, Kamila Garcia, Lorenzo Eduardo Garcia, Romeo, and Aunica Maya Jasso; eight siblings, Lilia Rios Garcia, Adolio Garcia, Erasmo Garcia, Heriberto Garcia, Olivia Mireles Garcia, Leonel Garcia, Oscar Garcia, and Ruben Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Hidalgo City Cemetery in Hidalgo.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
