Jose Luis Garcia

EDINBURG- Dr. Jose Luis Garcia, 77, entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Edinburg. He studied medicine in "La Universidad Veracruzana" in Veracruz, Mexico, became a "Medico Cirujano" on September 6, 1974 and practiced medicine for 51 years.   Dr. Garcia was a devoted physician known for his humor, sincere care and deep faith and love for Jesus Christ. Dr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Macedonio Garcia and Andrea Buendia; one son, Jose Daniel Garcia, two siblings, Irma Garcia De Barna, and Arturo Garcia.

Dr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Maria De Lourdes Garcia; three children, Jennifer (Gabriel) Morales, Cynthia (Jesus Vazquez) Flores, and Priscilla Garcia; three grandchildren, Gabriel "Nathanael" Morales, Elizabeth Morales, and Santiago Morales; five siblings, Juana Eberle, Miguel Angel Garcia, Yolanda Malcolm, Jesus Garcia, and Doris Diaz; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be at 3 p.m., Monday, December 8, 2025, at Ashland Memorial Park, 21037 Godwin Rd. Harlingen Texas.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
