Jose Luna Sr.

PHARR - Jose Luna Sr., 73, went to be with our Lord on Thursday January 15, 2026, in McAllen. Mr. Luna was preceded in death by his parents, Gualberto and Maria Luna. 

Mr. Luna is survived by his wife, Thelma Luna; his four children, Joe (Maggie) Luna Jr., Manrique (Leonides) Luna, Karen (Jose Perez) Dueñez, and Michelle (Joe Perez) Luna; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Olga Cantu, Enedina Luna, Yolanda Soto, Delia Silos, Gualberto Luna, David Luna, Hector Luna and Melba Salas; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
