Jose Ricardo "Rod" Rodriguez

Weslaco-Jose Ricardo “Rod” Rodriguez, 83, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his parents, Tiburcio Rodriguez and Maria De La Luz; two siblings, Ted Rodriguez and Willie Rodriguez.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife Imelda Rodriguez, his eight children,Fred (Nelda) Gonzalez, Andrew (Marcy) Chew, Johnny (Genevieve) Rodriguez, Melissa Rodriguez, Joe Rick Rodriguez, Maritza (Santos) Gonzalez, Joe (Veronica) Rodriguez, and Greg (Marissa) Rodriguez. Three surviving siblings, Mary Buentello, Cesario (Alice) Rodriguez, and Josephine Rodriguez; twenty-one grandchildren, and Jeanell Gonzales, whom he raised; seventeen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.                                     

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p. m. with a rosary, Thursday, November 14th, 2024, atLegacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel Service will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday November 15th, 2024, at Legacy 4610 S. Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

 Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
