Jose Luis Vallecillos Rodriguez

DONNA - Jose Luis Vallecillos Rodriguez, 71, passed away October 10, 2026, in Durango, México. Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his parents, Esteban Vallecillos, and Jovita Rodriguez de Vallecillos.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Sandra Vela Vallecillos; three children, Stephanie (Fabian) Cantu, Steven Vallecillos, and Ram Vallecillos; two grandchildren, Sophia Cantu, and Fabian (Ozzy) Cantu; two sisters, Alicia Vallecillos, and Leticia Vallecillos; and numerous family and friends.

Jose Luis had retired a few years ago prior to his passing. He worked for McAllen ISD Maintenance Department for 38 years. During his tenure with McAllen ISD Jose Luis made many friends, many of which he still remained close to.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a Celebration of life at 1:30 p.m.Monday, October 19, 2026, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Inurnment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.

El Sr. Rodríguez fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres, Esteban Vallecillos y Jovita Rodríguez de Vallecillos. El Sr. Rodríguez deja en vida a su esposa, Sandra Vela Vallecillos; tres hijos, Stephanie (Fabian) Cantú, Steven Vallecillos y Ram Vallecillos; dos nietos, Sophia Cantú y Fabian (Ozzy) Cantú; dos hermanas, Alicia Vallecillos y Leticia Vallecillos; y numerosos otros familiares y amigos. Jose Luis se había retirado unos años antes de su fallecimiento. Trabajó en el Departamento de Mantenimiento del McAllen ISD durante 38 años. Durante su tiempo en McAllen ISD, Jose Luis hizo muchos amigos, muchos de los cuales permanecieron cercanos hasta el final. La visita será de 11 a.m. a 3 p.m., con una Celebración de la Vida a la 1:30 p.m. el lunes 19 de octubre de 2026, en Legacy Chapels en Edinburg.
