Juan Francisco Valdez

MERCEDES - Juan Francisco Valdez, 74. entered eternal rest on Friday, December 15, 2023. Mr. Valdez is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maurilia; his wife, Ofelia Valdez; 2 grandson, Missael Mercado Valdez and Josue Abisai Mercado Valdez.

Mr. Valdez is survived by his 6 children, Sonya Valdez, Alma Veronica Valdez Mercado, Julio Cesar Valdez, Francisco Valdez, Jorge Alberto Valdez and Juan Carlos Valdez; 7 grandchildren, Alexandra Valdez, Ediel N. Ovalle, Ari Ovalle, Jose E. Ovalle, Alejandro Jesus Mercado, Diego Valdez and Max Valdez; numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023 with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Valley Worship Center in McAllen. Chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
