Juanita G. Pruneda

PHARR - Juanita G. Pruneda, 90, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Edinburg. Mrs. Pruneda was preceded in death by her husband, Eladio E. Pruneda; her daughter, Antonia Montemayor; her parents, Pilar and Dominga Gonzalez; siblings, Eufemia Gonzalez, Maria Gutierrez, Alonzo Gonzalez, Brijido Gonzalez, and Leydiana Gonzalez; two son-in-laws, Edilberto Montemayor, and Eduardo Maciel. 

Mrs. Pruneda is survived by her ten children, Juan A. (Francisca) Pruneda, Abelardo (Elizabeth) Pruneda, Araceli (Juan A.) Gonzalez, Adelina (Abiel) Saenz, Aleida (Eden) Ramirez, Viviano Pruneda, Polly (André) LeDé, Larry (Elizabeth) Pruneda, Janie Maciel and Felipe (Lety) Pruneda; 33 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; six siblings, Francisco Valdez, Ignacio Valdez, Rumaldo Valdez, Teresa Gonzalez, Gregorio Gonzalez, and Raul Gonzalez; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a 5 p.m. rosary, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Interment will take place at Panteon Dolores in Repueblo De Oriente, N.L., Mexico.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
