BROWNSVILLE - Laurencio Gonzalez Jr. 52, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville. He was born on February 7,1972 to Laurencio and Jovita Gonzalez in McAllen,Texas.
Mr. Gonzalez served 27 years as active duty in the U.S. Army. Mr. Gonzalez completed 4 deployments in Iraq and retired the U.S. Army receiving his prestigious The Legion of Merit Award. Mr. Gonzalez worked 3 years with U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office Of Information and Technology.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his father, Laurencio Gonzalez Sr.; his wife, Adriana Gonzalez; 3 sons, Laurencio Gonzalez lll, Leonardo Gonzalez and Marcos Daniel Gonzalez; 1 brother, Gerardo Gonzalez; 1 sister, Elda Gonzalez; 3 grandchildren; Zoey, Elyse and Laurencio Gonzalez IV.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 12 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
