Leonardo Tijerina

EDINBURG - Leonardo Tijerina, 70, went to be with our Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Edinburg. Mr. Tijerina was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Nelia Tijerina; his mother, Manuela Tijerina; two brothers, Johnny Lopez, and Leonel Martin Tijerina; a son-in-law, Clemente Padron. 

Mr. Tijerina is survived by his partner, Hermelinda Perez; two children, Rebecca Padron, and Leonardo (Amanda) Tijerina Jr.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his sister, Maria Luisa Tijerina; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapels service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
