McAllen, Texas Lilia Martinez, 73 , passed away on Thursday December 15, 2016 in McAllen, Texas. She was born on December 14, 1943 in Durango, Mexico to Andres and Maria Luisa Herrera. She was a life long resident of McAllen. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and recently her husband Mr. Ricardo Martinez on December 11, 2016. She is survived by Her children; Jorge Martin Martinez (Lourdes), Sylvia Cristina Nava, Miguel Angel Martinez, and Lilia Cardenas; six grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, four sisters Maria de Jesus Pena, Carmen Herrera, Maria Luisa Rodriguez, and Virginia Torres. Visitation will be on Sunday December 18, 2016 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Monday December 19, 2016 at Legacy Chapels at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
