Lucia Garza

EDINBURG - Lucia Garza, 93, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 5, 2024. She passed away peacefully and quietly at her beloved home surrounded by her children. Mrs. Garza is preceded in death by her parents, Valentin Rosales and Wenceslada Munoz Rosales; husband, Pedro Garza; her son, Ruben Garza; 5 sisters, Flavia Rosales, Genara Rosales, Eufemia Rios, Maria Concepcion Rosales and Telesfora Esperiqueta; 1 brother, Gerardo Garza.

Mrs. Garza was a devoted Catholic and Church member. As a family we have peace that she rests in the hands of the Lord.

Mrs. Garza is survived by her 1 sister, Flora Montemayor; 8 children, Octaviano (Maricela) Garza, Mario (Minerva) Garza, Andres (Maria Elena) Garza, Blanca (Roel) Flores, Rosa (Oscar) Alvarez, Gracie (Felipe) Lopez, Olga Garza and Gustavo (Maribel) Garza; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
