Margarita Alcoser

January 1, 1942 — January 17, 2022

MARGARITA ALCOSER EDINBURG- Margarita Alcoser, 79, entered eternal rest on Monday January 17th, 2022 in Edinburg, Texas surrounded by her family. Margarita was preceded in death by her son, Wally Garza, mother Martina Garza and father Eugenio Garza. Margarita, also known as “Nana” to her grandchildren, “Maggie” to her friends, had five sons, all of which she loved dearly. She loved movies, music and dancing. Margarita was a woman of strong character and fiercely independent. Margarita was a person who had been shaped by difficult times, but that never stopped her from telling her grandchildren how much she loved them. Margarita was limited in receiving an education but that never stopped her from encouraging her sons and grandchildren to get educated. Although Margarita liked her seclusion, her independence she always preferred a visit from her sons and/or grandchildren. Margarita’s strength and fearlessness provided her children and grandchildren the courage to pursue education, travel and exploration. Margarita spent a lifetime of creating mementos for her family. Ceramics, paintings and sew projects are only a few of the things she constantly created for her loved ones with one simple intent, remember how much I love you. Margarita will always be remembered for her “sassiness”, but more so for the love she had for her family. We will miss her dearly but we will never forget her. Margarita Alcoser is survived by her sons, Eugenio Garza, Homer J. Alcoser, Jaime J. Alcoser, Hector J. Alcoser; grandchildren Wally Garza, Melissa Garza, Homer Alcoser, Homer Alcoser III., Santiago Alcoser, Briana Alcoser, Jaime J. Alcoser Jr., Leah Zvorak, Ashlee Lopez, Jessica Alcoser, Hector J. Alcoser II; daughter in laws, Linda Garza, Aminta Silva, Blanca Alcoser and Gloria Alcoser; sisters, Alicia Epps, Eglifira Altman, Esther Schultz, three great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Special thanks given to Mrs. Leonarda Camero for all the love and care she provided throughout these past years. A celebration of life will be held at the Legacy Chapels located at 4610 South Jackson Road, Edinburg Texas on Friday January 21st, from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m.
