EDINBURG - Maria De Jesus Alejo, 88, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Ms. Alejo was born on August 1, 1935 in Villa de Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Ms. Alejo is preceded in death by her daughter, Janie Montoya and her grandson, Freddy Cabrera.
Ms. Alejo is survived by her son Oscar (Claudia) Alejos; 3 grandchildren, Oscar (Kelly) Alejos Jr., Vincent Alejos and Valerie M. Alejos; 2 siblings, Enrique Alejo and Manuel Alejo; 3 great grandchildren; numerous family and friends. She will be greatly and truely missed by her son, Oscar and her surviving family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. with a 2 p.m. chapel service, Friday, May 17, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
