MISSION- Maria Del Carmen Salinas, 74, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 9, 2026 in Mission. Mrs. Salinas is preceded in death by her spouse, Vicente Salinas Jr,; son, Juan Angel Salinas; parents, Valentine Gaitan, and Juanita Ramonez; brother Lupe Giatan.

Mrs. Salinas is survived by her daughter, Cristina (Samuel) Mitchell; brother, Leo Giatan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life, Monday, October 12, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
