Maria D. Guajardo

SAN JUAN - Maria D. Guajardo, 93, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in San Juan surrounded by her family. Mrs. Guajardo was prececded in death by her husband, Hermerejildo Guajardo; her son, Ovidio Guajardo Cavazos; a granddaughter, Gabriela Castillo; her parents, Andres and Francisca Cavazos; four siblings, Guadalupe , Francisco, Jesus, and Refugio Cavazos.

Mrs. Guajardo is survived by her ten children, Lupita (Eduardo Medina) Guajardo, Brigido (Bernarda) Guajardo, Juan Antonio Guajardo, Isabel Vigil, Cukis (Rogelio) Garza, Yolanda (Eduardo) Alvarez, Sofia (Rafael) Castillo, Delia (Eduardo) Bernal, Dalia (Luis) Gonzalez, and Manuel (Maria Elena) Guajardo; 36 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren 5 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Anita Cavazos de Guajardo.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
