PHARR - Maria D. Martinez De Torres, 69, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Edinburg. Mrs. Torres was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin Martinez, and Juana Maria Martinez Balderas; three siblings, Rebecca Martinez, Veronica Martinez, and Joaquin Martinez.
Mrs. Torres is survived by her two children, Alejandro Garcia, and Sofia Houston; one grandchildren, Isabella Houston; Ten siblings, Maria Socorro (Armando) Bailon, Maria Martha (Mario) Ayala, Maria Gloria (Ramon) Cortez, Maria Laura (Mario) Salgado, Fatima (Ramon) Sanchez, Maria Guadalupe (Jose) Avalos, Maria Rosario Martinez, Pedro (Julie) Martinez, Maria Del Carmen Martinez.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer on Tuesday September 15, 2026, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
