Maria Isabel Montenegro

McAllen -Maria Isabel Montenegro , 70, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Mrs. Montenegro is preceded in death by her parents, Alberto Montenegro Sanchez and Juana Herrera Alarcon; sister Hermila Montenegro Herrera.

Mrs. Montenegro is survived by her husband, Felipe Javier Ortiz; two children, Javier Ivan Ortiz and Jessica Suarez; one grandchild, Olivia Syabel Ortiz; five siblings, Maria Elidia Montenegro Herrera, Efren Montenegro Herrera, Guadalupe Montenegro Herrera, Salvador Montenegro Herrera, and Rafael Montenegro Herrera; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Celebration of Life from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
